Riverside Relationships
Come join Josie as she takes you for a meander along freshwater habitats as part of the Right to Roam Kernow festival. Photo-Art call out
NOW CLOSED
Submit today to The Waters of Sulis & Beyond.
Josie is curating this creative aspect of
Fringe Arts Bath to highlight the chemical challenges our rivers face.
With water ‘on tap’ in the UK, participating artists are asked to share what freshwater means to them by creating abstract images with the full collaboration of the riverine.
The images shared will help to raise the profile of our water security and offer mediation between people and freshwater.
Deadline: 12 April at 23:59pm GMT

Art from Heart
Artist of the Month - Feb/March 2022
Incredibly honoured to be an Artist of the Month with Art from Heart. This showcases my 2020 Elemental Eidos series which uses the microscopic world of sand and a seemingly collective human love for kaleidoscopes to draw attention to sustainable mining practices.
Inspired by a waveform array sometimes seen in a geological sampling technique, Cathodoluminescence, this series is created using hybrid lumen/digital processes, combining negatives from Cathodoluminescence images and/or sand and earth.
Visit artfromheart.co.uk to see more or head over to my portfolio page.
Listen (or read) as Josie chats to the wonderful Jo from Jo’s Art History Podcast all about Anna Atkins and the cyanotype process. Shared to mark International Women’s Day 2021.
OF Earth - For Earth
As one of six commissioned artists funded by IMP@CT (Exeter Uni/EU), Josie will be part of an international sustainable mining conference taking place 9-12 March 2020 at Heartlands, Cornwall.
It is designed to create dialogues around how our modern behaviours demand that the extractive industries provide resources without damaging
the planet.
