This is an archival limited edition unfixed lumen/digital hybrid print from Josie’s Harena Now series.

This work considers the global sand crisis and how we can connect to environmental issues that seem distant from our own lives and societies.

It is made with expired black and white photo paper in collaboration with nature using sand, sun and seawater from the shoreline close to where Josie lives.

The original lumen print is safely stored in a light tight bag to preserve its lifespan, while this version is scanned and treated with Josie’s photo-fixer digital ‘mimic’ technique.

This version is sold framed as seen.
